Ayurveda

Ayurveda (ayur or ayus means “life force” and veda means “science” or “knowledge”) translates to science or knowledge of life.
It is a 5000 year old holistic and comprehensive medical system meant to help you achieve balance in your mind, body and spirit, while promoting harmony in your inner and outer worlds.


In this workshop, you'll first be guided through a gentle practice where you will learn how to identify any imbalances and how to approach your practice to bring yourself back into balance.
The practice will end with a yoga nidra practice to help reduce excess Kapha during this Kapha season. We will then discuss the foundational elements of Ayurveda where you will:

Learn about the three doshas: vata, pitta and Kapha and how they form our individual constitution
Identify your own constitution and self care techniques from movement to food to keep yourself in balance
Learn how to identify if there is any excess of one dosha and how to reduce it to bring your health back into balance
Learn how to prevent an imbalance to reduce excess Kapha during the Kapha season (late winter into early spring)

Intro to the Chakras
2/28 at 2pm

Let’s gather and explore the seven main energetic centers, the Chakras.

In this introduction, Eduvigis will provide an overview of how the Chakras are connected with our physical, ental and emotional functioning and our understanding of who we are.
Including the elements, colors, seed mantra for each Chakra.
Root, Sacral, Solar Plexus, Heart, Throat, Third Eye and Crown.
Followed by a brief seated meditation on each Chakra and journaling.
Ending with a Yoga Nidra Meditation navigating all seven Chakras for a balancing and relaxing afternoon.

Spring Renewal - Detoxifying Body, Mind & Heart

Spring is a time for rebirth, rejuvenation and new beginnings.

It is a time to cleanse the body and mind from the inside out, not just decluttering our physical surroundings.

Let’s gather to awaken from Winter’s slumber, with a detoxifying Yoga sequence, followed by restorative poses that help us to let go and open us into new beginnings; ending with a Yoga Nidra meditation that navigates through our energetic body, our Chakras for a complete cleanse of body, mind, heart.
